Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Establish the legal function in Australia from its foundation.

• Serve as the main legal advisor for both Australia and the wider APAC region.

• Provide guidance to leadership on privacy, data security, and entering new markets.

• Oversee intricate negotiations related to SaaS, software, and partnerships with major healthcare providers from inception to completion.

• Develop and enhance legal templates, processes, and legal culture to support future growth.

• Identify commercially viable methods to manage risk while facilitating growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be an Australian-qualified lawyer.

• Possess a current practising certificate.

• Have a robust background in corporate and commercial law, either from a law firm or an in-house team.

• Exhibit a commercial mindset aimed at achieving business objectives.

• Be a self-starter capable of working independently as the sole legal expert in a rapidly growing region.

• Experience in technology, particularly SaaS, or healthcare is a plus.
