Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Establish the legal operations in Australia from the ground up

• Act as the primary legal advisor for the APAC region

• Provide guidance to leadership on commercial and strategic issues

• Manage intricate SaaS, software, and partnership negotiations with leading health providers from initiation to completion

• Offer advice on privacy, data security, and entering new markets

• Develop and enhance legal templates, processes, and a culture conducive to scalable growth

• Balance risk management with business expansion while identifying practical solutions for agreements

⛳️ Requirements

• Lawyer qualified in Australia

• Valid practising certificate

• Robust experience in corporate and commercial law, either from a law firm or an in-house position

• Experience in technology, particularly SaaS, or healthcare is advantageous

• Commercially minded with a focus on achieving business objectives

• Capability to operate independently as the sole legal authority for a rapidly expanding region

• Proactive individual who takes initiative to accomplish tasks
