Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Prepare, review, and assist in the negotiation of enterprise customer and other commercial agreements.

• Collaborate closely with Sales to facilitate deals from initiation to closure.

• Provide guidance on compliance matters related to corporate, employment, data privacy, AI, and various regulatory domains.

• Assist with corporate governance, including entity management and issues concerning the board and shareholders.

• Aid the People & Culture team in implementing policies and addressing employee-related inquiries.

• Support M&A and financing activities, including diligence workflows.

• Help manage cap tables and equity plan documentation.

• Oversee projects in conjunction with external legal counsel.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, HR, and Finance to ensure legal alignment.

• Develop internal legal training materials, documentation, and guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience in demanding roles that required you to assume significant early responsibility.

• A law degree.

• An active license to practice in an EMEA jurisdiction.

• Proficient in contract drafting and negotiation, particularly within B2B SaaS commercial agreements.

• Experience with EU and international data privacy regulations.

• Previous experience working with or within international companies, preferably US-based tech or SaaS firms.

• Excellent communication abilities and social intelligence to cultivate trust within a globally distributed team.

• Capability to manage complex issues across various functions.

• A low-ego, high-ownership mindset.

• Willingness to engage with ambiguous challenges, manage competing priorities, learn rapidly, and take initiative.
