Legal Contracts Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Offers a comprehensive array of legal services and strategic counsel to business stakeholders.

• Manages a variety of cases under the supervision of the General Counsel.

• Conducts research and provides updates on case law, legislative obligations, and legal developments.

• Prepares and negotiates a range of procurement, supplier, and vendor contracts.

• Delivers clear legal guidance on matters, including contract negotiations and assessments.

• Works in collaboration with colleagues in the Legal department and business clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), or an equivalent legal qualification.

• Admitted to practice law in Ontario.

• At least five (5) years of legal practice experience.

• Familiarity with legal matters and regulations pertaining to not-for-profit organizations.

• Strong skills in negotiation and drafting contracts.

• Excellent critical thinking abilities.

• Exceptional organizational skills.

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
