Legacy Platform and Database Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Manage application servers and databases on engines approved by the Government.

• Operate SOAP and WS-Security services, including the management of certificates and keystores.

• Implement STIGs and IAVM remediation on legacy systems while maintaining up-to-date compliance evidence.

• Conduct scheduled backup and restore tests, as well as tests after every modification.

• Assist in the migration of legacy services to the new platform.

• Address production issues, including incidents that occur after hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience administering application servers and relational databases in a production environment.

• Proven experience with SOAP and WS-Security operations.

• Experience in STIG and IAVM remediation for DoD or federal systems.

• Familiarity with conducting restore testing.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Capability to obtain and retain Tier 3 investigation and IT-II designation.

• Active Secret clearance or eligibility for Secret clearance is preferred.

• Experience in Oracle or PostgreSQL administration is a plus.

• Knowledge of AWS GovCloud is advantageous.

• Experience in a healthcare or DHA environment is a plus.
