This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +19 more states.
β’ Collaborate on brainstorming, outlining, developing, and quality assurance of workplace safety and EHS courses that adhere to OSHA General Industry and Construction standards, including HazCom/GHS, emergency action plans, PPE, lockout/tagout, DOT, and EPA compliance topics.
β’ Convert federal and state safety regulations into engaging, learner-focused training experiences.
β’ Verify that course content complies with relevant regulatory requirements, including OSHA training mandates and documentation standards.
β’ Create precise and accessible courses aimed at frontline workers, supervisors, and safety managers.
β’ Keep updated on OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and specific EHS requirements for different states.
β’ Actively identify regulatory changes that necessitate updates to course materials.
β’ Leverage practical workplace safety expertise to mirror the real-world application of safety standards.
β’ Proven experience in developing workplace safety and/or EHS training content.
β’ Thorough understanding of OSHA standards, training requirements, and the distinction between awareness-level training and authorized/competent person training.
β’ Established capability to convert regulatory requirements into relatable, engaging digital training, ideally in an LMS or e-learning format.
β’ Familiarity with AI-driven course authoring tools such as Articulate Rise.
β’ Experience utilizing Generative AI tools in course design and content creation, including Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini.
β’ Excellent written communication skills, knowledge of instructional design principles, and meticulous attention to detail.
β’ Preferred active OSHA Outreach Trainer authorization (10-hour and/or 30-hour programs) in General Industry and/or Construction.
β’ Understanding of state-plan OSHA programs and their deviations from federal standards is preferred.
β’ Experience in creating training for high-hazard sectors such as manufacturing, construction, warehousing, oil & gas, or healthcare is preferred.
β’ Background in broader EHS management systems or environmental compliance training (EPA, RCRA, DOT hazmat) is preferred.
β’ Current Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals is preferred.
β’ Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
