This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Define the comprehensive user journey for digital experiences on HMH's teaching and learning platform.
β’ Utilize discipline-specific knowledge, assessment methodologies, social-emotional learning strategies, differentiation techniques, standards analysis, data analytics, multilingual learner support, accessibility considerations, culturally responsive education practices, and metadata expertise.
β’ Create and modify content and metadata for research-driven, digital-first experiences.
β’ Develop and continuously refine teaching and learning solutions across various media formats as a member of an agile scrum team.
β’ Produce instructionally sound content while adhering to capacity constraints and market expectations.
β’ Implement agile practices, meet deadlines, uphold quality standards, and engage in retrospectives.
β’ Advocate for and engage in user research, including Teacher Panels and surveys.
β’ Summarize research findings and leverage them to inform solutions.
β’ Analyze platform data, usage statistics, efficacy, task difficulty, time-on-task, and growth metrics.
β’ Utilize data to suggest solutions and articulate the rationale behind development decisions.
β’ Deliver iterative solutions on schedule and within budget that align with market demands.
β’ Communicate effectively with core and extended team members and address educator and student needs with guidance from senior team members.
β’ Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Design, or a relevant field.
β’ 3-4 years of experience in instructional design for K-12 students or a blend of K-12 instructional design and teaching experience.
β’ Bilingual (Spanish/English) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Expertise in K-12 reading instruction.
β’ Experience in designing content for biliteracy instruction (Spanish/English) and multilingual education.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
β’ K-12 teaching experience is preferred.
β’ Experience in developing and delivering digital instructional materials is preferred.
β’ Experience working on agile scrum teams and familiarity with JIRA is preferred.
β’ Experience with content management systems is preferred.
β’ Experience in using data analysis and interpretation to address market challenges is preferred.
β’ Ability to collaborate through face-to-face interactions, conference calls, and online meetings.
β’ Capability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, consistently operating a computer.
