This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with cross-functional experts in Training/Professional Services, Marketing, and Product Management.
• Develop and sustain on-demand training resources for Thomson Reuters Legal products.
• Lead the creation and upkeep of eLearning experiences for Legal AI SaaS products to enhance customer utilization and adoption.
• Oversee projects from inception to completion involving internal teams and external partners.
• Craft and produce video scripts, user manuals, and supplementary eLearning course materials.
• Utilize AI tools, specifically Claude, to optimize content development and create tailored learning interactions and lightweight interactive elements.
• Implement graphic design principles to deliver polished, brand-aligned, and visually accessible learning materials.
• Employ platform authoring tools and training best practices to develop engaging learning experiences.
• Offer thought leadership on innovations in eLearning and customer education.
• Enhance knowledge of Legal products and customers to ensure training content remains relevant and valuable.
• Manage learning content in LMS and other technological systems.
• Evaluate and analyze content effectiveness and update materials as required.
• BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Technical Communications, Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or Human Resources, or 5 years of experience in Learning Experience Design or Instructional Design.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory and best practices in instructional design.
• Experience in designing for external, customer-facing audiences.
• Proficiency in Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, WellSaid, HTML, and other website management tools.
• Familiarity and practical experience with learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems.
• Competence with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Solid foundation in graphic design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for crafting and designing instructional content.
• Experience in video creation and editing.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Proven skills in project management and organization.
• A reviewable portfolio of work is preferred.
• Experience in customer education is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with AI tools, particularly Claude, is strongly preferred.
• A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.
