Instructional Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Transform storyboards, PowerPoints, job aids, desk references, and quick reference guides into captivating training sessions and e-learning modules.

• Utilize instructional design principles suitable for self-paced e-learning, instructor-led training, and virtual courses.

• Collaborate with project managers, colleagues, and clients to define requirements, project scope, timelines, and provide status updates.

• Integrate feedback and deliver timely updates during review cycles with project managers and clients.

• Oversee multiple projects, organize work, and ensure timely delivery.

• Adhere to branding, formatting, accessibility, and quality-assurance standards.

• Create and develop programs that reflect client vision, organizational objectives, and identified training needs.

• Investigate client goals and pinpoint opportunities for advancement.

• Produce or incorporate video, animations, screen captures, graphics, and images using tools such as Vyond, Eleven Labs, Camtasia, and Adobe applications.

• Maintain organized project files, version control, and change logs; preserve reusable components and lessons learned.

• Develop educational programs based on the 70/20/10 model, including self-study, practice, performance support, knowledge sharing, experiential activities, audio, video, simulations, role-plays, and games.

• Factor in group dynamics and change management strategies.

• Utilize influencing skills in complex situations to guide others toward alternative viewpoints.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in a development environment role.

• Proven instructional design experience with extensive application of ADDIE principles.

• Proficiency in using established tools, templates, and repositories for designing and developing training materials.

• Demonstrated background in training, instructional design, and course development.

• Experience in developing e-learning using Articulate Rise 360 and Storyline 360.

• Skilled in creating media with Vyond, Camtasia, and Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom/Express.

• Familiarity with an LMS for publishing and managing e-learning content.

• Experience with Office365.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with project managers, team members, and clients.

• Strong ability to meet deadlines, prioritize competing tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Capacity to receive and integrate constructive feedback in a professional manner.

• Exceptional organizational, time management, attention to detail, and commitment to branding and formatting standards.

• Creative problem-solving skills and innovative design thinking within established constraints.

• Availability to support Guam from 8 am to 12 pm Tuesday through Friday Chamorro Standard Time.

• Openness to occasional travel to Guam; future clients may necessitate travel of up to 50%.
