Lead UX Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and articulate the overarching UX design strategy for the product.

• Manage and uphold HR Acuity’s design system while promoting its adoption within both design and engineering teams.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team comprising three UX Designers and one UX Researcher.

• Create wireframes, mockups, interaction specifications, and functional prototypes for impactful initiatives.

• Gain insights into customer requirements and transform them into user-focused designs.

• Collaborate with UX Research to strategize and implement concept and usability testing.

• Set UX standards and evaluate team deliverables for consistency and quality.

• Work alongside Product Management and Engineering from conceptual stages through to delivery.

• Showcase design work and the reasoning behind it to stakeholders and leadership.

• Balance immediate solutions with a long-term design vision.

• Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design, managing the relationship with accessibility vendors.

• Keep abreast of competitor products, design tools, industry trends, and AI-assisted design capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in UX or product design.

• At least 2 years of experience in leading, mentoring, or managing design teams.

• Ideally possess experience in a B2B SaaS platform environment.

• Demonstrated experience in building, deploying, and maintaining a design system at scale.

• Proven track record in driving design system adoption across cross-functional teams.

• Expert-level proficiency in Figma.

• Hands-on experience with Figma’s AI tools.

• Experience in designing complex workflows within B2B or B2C SaaS products.

• Familiarity with web, native, and mobile-first approaches.

• Strong understanding of user-centric design strategy, UX principles, interaction design, and usability techniques.

• Experience collaborating with UX research or conducting research independently.

• Proven ability to set design direction and standards in an agile environment.

• Excellent skills in communication, storytelling, and data presentation.

• High attention to detail and sound prioritization judgment.

• Demonstrates a collaborative and humble leadership style.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, highly collaborative environment.

• Strong creative problem-solving abilities and a propensity for delivering results.

• Must be based in the US.
