This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Take ownership and implement hands-on product design projects starting from problem definition and design hypotheses through to flows, prototypes, implementation, launch, and iteration for both desktop and mobile platforms.
• Convert vague customer and business challenges into distinct, intuitive, and production-ready experiences by utilizing principles of UX, interaction, visual design, and information architecture.
• Gain insights into customer needs, behaviors, motivations, and points of friction through interviews, research, feedback, reviews, usability testing, session recordings, heatmaps, funnel data, and competitor analysis.
• Differentiate between observed behaviors and interpretations, consider alternative explanations, and pinpoint high-impact opportunities within the customer journey.
• Leverage consumer psychology and conversion principles to minimize friction, clarify value, enhance trust, and boost customer outcomes.
• Formulate evidence-driven design recommendations and effectively communicate the rationale, trade-offs, expected impact, and success metrics.
• Collaborate with Product, Growth, Marketing, Engineering, and data teams to establish priorities, contribute to experiments, and utilize results to guide design decisions.
• Balance business objectives and conversion goals with clarity, customer confidence, autonomy, and long-term experience.
• Review builds, responsive behaviors, and edge cases with Engineering to ensure that final experiences adhere to design standards.
• Sustain and enhance reusable components, patterns, and design-system practices.
• Prioritize opportunities based on customer impact, business value, effort, urgency, and strategic significance.
• Utilize AI and emerging technologies to enhance research, design exploration, prototyping, documentation, and production workflows, while validating outputs and applying human judgment.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on Product Design experience, although candidates with slightly less experience who demonstrate strong product judgment, ownership, craft, and impact may be considered.
• Comprehensive end-to-end product ownership experience, from defining problems and mapping customer journeys to design, implementation, QA, launch, and iteration.
• A robust portfolio featuring at least one end-to-end case study that illustrates problem identification, design decisions, implementation or release, and outcomes or learnings.
• Strong skills in UX, interaction, and visual design across responsive web and/or mobile experiences, with a keen attention to detail.
• Direct experience with consumer products, especially digital products that are customer-facing and involve complex customer journeys.
• Evidence-based design decision-making skills, utilizing customer interviews, research, feedback, and/or product or funnel data to inform design choices.
• Exceptional product judgment and proactive problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying opportunities, forming hypotheses, and recommending actionable solutions.
• Awareness of growth and conversion, along with an understanding of customer behavior, friction, trust, cognitive load, and the impact of design on customer outcomes.
• Experience in contributing to experimentation or testing, such as A/B tests or other product experiments.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma or similar product design and prototyping tools, including components and design systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating design rationale, making recommendations, and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Experience working directly with Engineering, including reviews of implementation and design QA.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Practical experience with AI tools to enhance research, design exploration, prototyping, documentation, or production workflows, including the ability to validate AI-generated outputs and apply human judgment in cases where accuracy, customer understanding, design quality, or product decisions are concerned.
• Background in e-commerce or direct-to-consumer (DTC) products.
• Experience in digital health, pet health, wellness, or other health-related consumer products.
• Familiarity with designing high-consideration products or services that require significant information or guidance for customers before making decisions.
• Experience working across multiple brands or products within a portfolio.
• Knowledge of growth or CRO initiatives, specifically in conversion optimization and customer behavior analysis.
• Familiarity with accessibility and front-end constraints.
• Experience in establishing or enhancing design systems and reusable product patterns across various products or brands.
• You will become a long-term and full-time contractor for our client's US-based company.
