This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide technical and project leadership for the planning and design of BAS/PMS and integrated control systems.

• Develop and uphold standards and specification sections for DLB controls, BAS, and EPMS.

• Oversee the scopes of subconsultants, including Statements of Objectives, construction drawings, and technical specifications.

• Review deliverables from subconsultants to ensure completeness, accuracy, alignment with project objectives, compliance with codes and regulations, and adherence to QA/QC standards.

• Collaborate with project teams and external partners to ensure the scope, quality, and timely delivery of design packages.

• Create and manage design drawings, operation sequences, and specifications.

• Assist in producing engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, such as floor plans, system architecture diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams, and control panel diagrams.

• Coordinate BAS-related elements with MEP trades.

• Identify changes in project scope and assist in minimizing cost and schedule impacts.

• Manage project deliverables when not acting as the lead design engineer.

• Provide training, guidance, and compliance support for standards to staff and outsourced partners.

• Manage and review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, punch lists, and project closeout documents.

• Assist in construction administration tasks and collaborate with engineering and project management teams.

• Conduct onsite BAS engineering audits, feasibility studies, and retrofit surveys.

• Prepare and oversee project progress reports and departmental reports.

• Administer project contracts.

• Utilize AI and digital tools to enhance efficiency and ensure consistent, high-quality work.

• Support the adoption of emerging technologies and innovative digital workflows.

• Perform additional related duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• B.A./B.S. degree in Engineering, construction, or related fields.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in BAS controls systems engineering.

• Advanced understanding of open-source protocols, including BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP.

• Familiarity with IoT and smart building solutions.

• Knowledge of common data center control redundancy strategies.

• Familiarity with the materials, methods, and tools used in the construction of mission-critical or commercial buildings.

• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.

• Skilled in the MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

• Ability to utilize AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and enhance processes.

• Capability to work effectively in a remote environment.

• Aptitude for identifying and analyzing complex problems and implementing viable solutions.

• Compliance with company and site safety protocols.

• Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.

• Proficient in effectively communicating technical and non-technical information in both oral and written formats.

• Ability to communicate directly with clients and serve as the primary contact when necessary.

• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team with moderate supervision.

• Skills in planning and delegating tasks to others.

• Organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Capacity to remain stationary frequently, move through office or facility environments, and occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
