Lead Travel Sourcing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and implementation of strategies across Travel categories, including Fleet and Meetings & Events.

• Analyze travel expense data to uncover trends, identify leakage, and discover cost-saving opportunities.

• Support the RFPs/RFIs process for partnerships with airlines, hotels, and travel management companies.

• Monitor and report on supplier compliance, performance metrics, and service level agreements (SLAs).

• Conduct thorough market research and benchmarking activities.

• Maintain documentation related to contract terms and savings trackers; prepare reports for leadership.

• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Global Mobility, Compliance, and other stakeholders on travel policies and procedures.

• Identify obstacles in the sourcing lifecycle and suggest process enhancements.

• Work alongside Indirect Sourcing teams and internal stakeholders to improve Travel processes, methodologies, and supplier management.

• Create best-in-class analytics tailored for the designated spend category.

• Manage relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, including Travel Management Companies (TMCs), online booking platforms, airlines, and hotels.

• Facilitate comprehensive corporate sourcing, incorporating hedging strategies and trigger points.

• Collaborate with the TMC supplier consulting team on tactical sourcing and negotiated rates for GE Vernova travelers.

• Promote benchmarking, best practices, continuous improvement, and change initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ability to lead organizational, process, and cultural transformation.

• Extensive experience within the relevant spend category.

• For positions outside the USA, significant experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree or relevant knowledge from an accredited institution.

• For positions within the USA, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or a high school diploma/GED with substantial experience in the job family/function), or equivalent knowledge/experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• In-depth understanding and practical experience with AI tools, along with the ability to implement solutions that align with organizational needs.

• Experience in sourcing or analytics within a multinational organization.

• Familiarity with a wide range of research tools and technologies, analytics, and financial analysis.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong project management skills.

• Experience with external benchmarking to facilitate process enhancements.

• Proven track record of driving change and achieving results.
