Lead Travel Sourcing Analyst

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and implementation of strategies within the designated spend category, which encompasses Travel, Fleet, and Meetings & Events.

• Analyze travel expenditure data to uncover trends, identify leakage, and discover cost-saving opportunities.

• Support the preparation of RFPs/RFIs for partnerships with airlines, hotels, and travel management companies.

• Monitor and report on supplier compliance, performance metrics, and service-level agreements.

• Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive travel programs.

• Maintain documentation related to contract terms and savings trackers; generate reports for leadership.

• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Global Mobility, Compliance, and other stakeholders regarding travel policies and processes.

• Recognize sourcing-lifecycle bottlenecks and suggest process enhancements.

• Work alongside Indirect Sourcing teams and internal stakeholders on travel processes, methodologies, and supplier management.

• Create top-tier analytics for the assigned spend category.

• Manage relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, including TMCs, online booking platforms, airlines, and hotels.

• Facilitate end-to-end corporate sourcing processes, including hedging strategies and trigger points.

• Collaborate with TMC supplier consulting teams on tactical sourcing activities and negotiated rates for GE Vernova travelers.

• Promote benchmarking, best practices, continuous improvement, and change implementation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ability to lead organizational, process, and cultural transformations.

• Extensive experience within the designated spend category.

• For positions outside the USA, significant experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree or relevant experience/knowledge from an accredited institution is required.

• For positions within the USA, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with substantial experience in the job family/group/function) or equivalent experience/knowledge is necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience/knowledge.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with AI tools, capable of implementing solutions that fulfill organizational requirements.

• Experience in Sourcing or Analytics within a multinational organization.

• Familiarity with a wide array of research tools and technologies, analytics, and financial analysis.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong project management capabilities.

• A thought leader with experience in external benchmarking to drive process enhancements.

• Proven history of implementing change and achieving results.
