This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Design transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 765kV.

β€’ Provide mentorship and training to junior design team members.

β€’ Coordinate design activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements during installation and operations.

β€’ Create clear and concise reports and studies that align with client specifications and Sargent & Lundy formats.

β€’ Conduct independent reviews of calculations, drawings, and PLS-CADD-based transmission line models produced by others.

β€’ Follow Sargent & Lundy's System of Processes meticulously.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ No employer sponsorship will be provided for work authorization in Canada.

β€’ Candidates must be citizens of a country listed in Appendix A to Part 810 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations if accessing U.S. export-controlled information.

β€’ A BS degree from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board-accredited undergraduate program or a U.S.-based ABET-accredited program is required.

β€’ A minimum of 12 years of experience in transmission design is necessary.

β€’ Proficiency in PLS-CADD software is essential.

β€’ Experience in preparing scopes of work, conceptual designs, design bases, equipment and material selections, calculations, and specifications is required.

β€’ Direct client interaction on transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 500kV is expected.

β€’ Knowledge of NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, and ANSI engineering standards is preferred.

β€’ Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others is necessary.

β€’ A P.Eng license is preferred but not mandatory.

β€’ PMP certification is valued but not required.

β€’ Construction experience is appreciated but not necessary.

β€’ Familiarity with ArcGIS is valued but not required.

β€’ Experience with AI, automation, programming, or similar technologies is valued but not mandatory.
