This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Address intricate, open-ended inquiries that encompass various aspects of the business and establish order amidst uncertainty.
• Grasp how diverse businesses generate revenue, pinpoint crucial growth factors, and evaluate the sustainability of that growth.
• Link individual business outcomes to the overall consolidated performance.
• Develop financial models and analyses from scratch to respond to strategic inquiries and support decision-making processes.
• Locate, access, and verify data, including hands-on experience with SQL and BI tools.
• Enhance in-year and long-term forecasting by refining methodologies and key drivers, boosting accuracy, and streamlining processes for better clarity.
• Manage the monthly and quarterly finance cycles.
• Collaborate with business teams for reviews and reporting purposes.
• Question assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and translate complex analyses into straightforward recommendations for senior finance leadership and business executives.
• Report to the Director of Strategic Finance & Insights and engage directly with the VP of Finance and CFO.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a knack for providing structure to ambiguous or undefined issues.
• Proficient financial modeling skills, including the capability to create driver-based models and perform three-statement analysis from the ground up.
• Experience working directly with data, utilizing SQL or a similar querying tool along with a BI platform.
• Strong curiosity about business operations and an aptitude for investigating business drivers.
• Ability to question assumptions and figures while fostering trusted relationships with business partners.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex analyses into clear and actionable insights for both finance and non-finance audiences.
• Experience in a multifaceted business environment with various revenue streams or business models.
• Availability to work within EST/EDT hours.
