Lead Specialist – Contract Management OTR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Venezuela.

📋 Description

• Direct the contractual and commercial strategy to ensure effective project execution.

• Act as a reliable advisor to project management regarding contracts, risks, opportunities, and commercial issues.

• Recognize and enhance revenue prospects through variation orders, claims, and contractual rights.

• Formulate and execute strategies for claims, change management, and dispute resolution.

• Safeguard the company’s contractual entitlements through proficient contract administration and documentation.

• Lead negotiations with clients, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure advantageous results.

• Oversee subcontractor and supplier contractual responsibilities, interfaces, and compliance obligations.

• Assist in project risk management and foster cross-functional collaboration to address complex commercial challenges and align business goals.

• Functionally report to the LATAM Contract Management Leader.

• Collaborate closely with the Project Director and Project Team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Engineering, Law, or Business Administration.

• Demonstrated experience as a Contract Manager in intricate EPC, infrastructure, industrial, construction, energy, or engineering projects.

• Background in hydropower projects, specifically in rehabilitation, refurbishment, modernization, and/or equipment supply.

• Strong expertise in contract administration, claims management, variation orders, contract negotiations, and dispute prevention.

• Proven capability to convert contractual rights, claims, and opportunities into quantifiable commercial results.

• Extensive experience managing contractual relationships with clients, consortium partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Familiarity with contractual security instruments, including bonds, bank guarantees, and insurance programs.

• Proficient in both English and Spanish.

• Exceptional negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
