Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy comprehensive full-stack features.

• Take ownership of intricate technical challenges from start to finish.

• Elevate the engineering standards for the EMEA team.

• Lead architectural and technical design choices.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager to refine the backlog and strategize.

• Utilize AI coding tools and agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex.

• Automate repetitive engineering tasks and reduce boilerplate code.

• Create automated tests and uphold code quality through thorough code reviews.

• Deploy and oversee features in production using GitLab, AWS, and Kubernetes.

• Enhance the engineering practices within the team.

• Work alongside Product and other teams to define, prioritize, and deliver significant initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in professional software engineering, including senior or lead-level roles.

• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language: Java, Ruby, or Node.js.

• Expertise in a modern frontend framework, preferably React.

• Proficiency in SQL.

• Strong experience in designing scalable and dependable systems.

• Experience in conducting comprehensive code reviews.

• Ability to work independently in a distributed, remote-first setting.

• Practical experience in using AI tools for code generation, agentic workflows, scripting/automation, or developing internal tools leveraging LLMs.

• Professional working proficiency in English.
