This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +35 more states.
β’ Deliver hands-on technical leadership while designing and implementing modern API and microservices solutions within a cloud-based environment.
β’ Facilitate technical design discussions.
β’ Create APIs and services.
β’ Conduct code and architectural reviews.
β’ Diagnose complex issues in production.
β’ Enhance CI/CD processes and observability.
β’ Work with API gateways and implement identity/security patterns.
β’ Mentor engineers on best engineering practices.
β’ Collaborate with architects, product teams, security, DevSecOps, infrastructure, QA, and other engineering teams from design to production.
β’ Lead project teams in analyzing, designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting PaaS solutions, services, processes, applications, and integrations.
β’ Influence IT functional areas, product owners, and vendors regarding detailed design, execution, and troubleshooting of strategic solutions.
β’ Address application and configuration issues and concerns.
β’ Assess performance and implement approved modifications.
β’ Ensure ongoing service improvements.
β’ Design cloud services that encompass storage, security, networking, and computing capabilities.
β’ Oversee application production support, deployment, and monitoring.
β’ Develop tools to facilitate production activities and automate support processes.
β’ Lead critical applications and their associated platforms while ensuring availability, security, performance, and stability.
β’ Anticipate business challenges and propose best practices.
β’ Manage projects or programs, potentially including budgets for large or complex initiatives.
β’ Innovate services, technologies, processes, or products.
β’ Present complex concepts and persuade stakeholders to embrace alternative perspectives.
β’ Bachelorβs degree or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Eight to twelve years of experience in developing Enterprise Applications.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of concepts relevant to the role.
β’ Strong expertise in programming and cloud technologies.
β’ Experience with medium-sized project planning.
β’ Capability to mentor less experienced team members.
β’ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
β’ Ability to articulate and resolve intricate technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Skills to influence and engage across various facilities and levels.
β’ Availability for variable shifts and hours, including carrying/responding to a pager may be necessary.
β’ Preferred: Cloud platform certifications AZ-301, AZ-400, and AZ-500.
β’ Preferred: Three to four years of experience with implementing Enterprise Cloud Solutions.
β’ Preferred: Strong working knowledge of Java, C++, C#, .Net Core, hardware environments, and programming logic.
β’ Additional related education and/or experience is a plus.
