This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.
• Offer daily guidance and mentorship to QA engineers and SDETs.
• Serve as the main QA contact for designated projects.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to establish testable requirements and quality standards.
• Develop and implement test strategies that align with project scope, timelines, and delivery objectives.
• Organize and estimate testing tasks.
• Supervise manual and automated functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Review and verify test cases.
• Promote the adoption and execution of test automation.
• Maintain and improve automation frameworks, tools, and scripts.
• Utilize AI-driven tools and contemporary testing methodologies.
• Enforce versioning and environment promotion practices for automation resources.
• Monitor, prioritize, and manage defects throughout their lifecycle.
• Evaluate quality metrics and conduct root cause analysis.
• Assist in release planning and readiness, providing QA sign-off.
• Ensure the availability of test environments and manage secure, high-quality test data.
• Provide work direction as a Lead; this role has no supervisory responsibilities or direct reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in general Software Quality Assurance.
• At least 6 years of experience in SDET or roles focused on automation.
• Prior experience as a QA lead or key contributor on complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong practical experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and contemporary testing best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of test automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
• Practical experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions.
• Experience in API testing, including RESTful and SOAP services, as well as validation of system integrations.
• Strong technical grounding in software development concepts, including object-oriented programming and design principles.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like Jira.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and Copado.
• Experience collaborating with distributed and cross-functional teams across various geographic locations.
• Preferred: experience with Salesforce, APIs, middleware like MuleSoft, and cloud-based systems.
