This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Collaborate with clients to identify operational and technical challenges.
• Create automation solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, capacity, and quality.
• Act as the responsible technical authority on assigned projects.
• Oversee technical strategies, design choices, engineering quality, and successful technical execution.
• Guide project engineering teams through technical direction, coordination, work reviews, and issue resolution.
• Work alongside the Project Manager or Project Coordinator on planning, scheduling, financial oversight, documentation, and project coordination.
• Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and provide support for applications utilizing Inductive Automation Ignition Perspective, tags, alarming, historian, scripting, databases, OPC UA, and integration with industrial devices.
• Develop and integrate PLC, HMI/SCADA, and other control solutions.
• Implement Industry 4.0, IIoT, IT, and emerging technologies to deliver value to customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, IT, and customer teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Travel to customer sites for project-related activities.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Inductive Automation Ignition and the implementation of production applications.
• Capability to independently develop, troubleshoot, and deploy Ignition solutions within an industrial setting.
• Experience in leading engineering teams and taking technical ownership of automation projects from design to commissioning and customer acceptance.
• Proficient in programming PLC and SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Schneider systems is preferred.
• Proven experience integrating SCADA applications with PLCs, industrial networks, databases, and plant or enterprise systems.
• Working knowledge of SQL, scripting, and industrial communication protocols.
• Comfortable interacting directly with customers and communicating effectively across engineering, IT, and operations.
• Ignition Gold Certification is preferred; equivalent demonstrated experience with Ignition projects will be considered.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations for project-related work is required.
