This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +2 more countries.
• Take charge of the Trust & Safety product strategy and roadmap, transforming business risks and user insights into a well-defined, prioritized plan.
• Transition from a reactive incident response approach to a proactive, intelligence-driven fraud prevention strategy utilizing the Risk Engine, data signals intelligence, anomaly detection, and investigation tools.
• Develop and deliver AI-native Trust & Safety product experiences in collaboration with Data Science and Engineering, leveraging ML models, LLMs, and behavioral signals.
• Achieve a balance between fraud mitigation and marketplace expansion while reducing friction for genuine users.
• Establish and monitor key Trust & Safety success metrics, such as fraud loss rates, false positive/negative rates, time-to-resolution, user trust scores, and financial exposure.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to achieve shared outcomes and navigate competing priorities.
• Create instrumentation, monitoring, and evaluation capabilities for fraud rates, detection model performance, and user impact on a large scale.
• Develop business cases that quantify fraud losses and the ROI of prevention investments; secure necessary resources and drive prioritization based on data.
• Ensure that products and strategies comply with local and regional legal and security requirements across various markets.
• Utilize AI to enhance product management operations, including threat analysis, synthetic user research, specification creation, and experimentation pipelines.
• Represent the Trust & Safety initiative at the leadership level, presenting strategy, risk posture, and results to executive audiences.
• Extensive product management experience within the digital landscape, encompassing consumer-facing platforms, marketplaces, mobility, e-commerce, classifieds, fintech, or similar high-scale environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing trust-related products or problem areas, such as Trust & Safety, Fraud Prevention, Risk, Identity & Verification, Marketplace Integrity, Account Security, Abuse Prevention, Payments Risk, or Compliance Technology.
• Proven history of building scalable systems that actively detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, risk, or other trust-related challenges.
• Robust analytical and data-driven approach, including defining success metrics, assessing impact, and prioritizing decisions based on evidence and measurable outcomes.
• Experience in collaborating with Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other cross-functional stakeholders in regulated or high-risk settings.
• Background in vendor management and collaboration.
• Familiarity with building, deploying, or working closely with machine learning, AI, risk scoring, decision-making, detection, recommendation, or automation systems.
• Capability to balance user experience, marketplace growth, operational efficiency, and risk management.
• Ability to operate amidst ambiguity, take ownership of complex problem areas, influence senior stakeholders, and drive strategy and execution across multiple teams.
• Strong foundational product management skills that are applicable across fraud domains.
• Well-versed in building and refining core Data (Science) products at scale.
• Experience across various international markets and regulatory landscapes (preferred).
• Understanding of emerging regulations and industry trends impacting online platforms, digital marketplaces, payments, AI, and consumer trust (preferred).
