πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Take ownership of and enhance all lifecycle touchpoints, with a focus on email, to promote ongoing civic engagement and encourage repeat usage.

β€’ Craft the post-petition supporter journey into distinct, clear chapters.

β€’ Develop email flows that consistently re-engage petition signers, guide them through the process, and highlight the impact of petitions.

β€’ Expand and implement the modular email system across automated communications.

β€’ Update visual designs and create brand-consistent templates in collaboration with the Marketing team.

β€’ Establish a unified system of layouts, imagery, and reusable assets for lifecycle journeys.

β€’ Utilize AI tools to explore design variations and accelerate production while ensuring quality.

β€’ Report directly to the Senior Director of Design.

β€’ Act as a senior individual contributor within the Product team.

β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional partners, advocate for design standards, and balance performance, brand representation, and the technical constraints of email.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Over 7 years of experience designing lifecycle communications for consumer or mission-oriented products.

β€’ A portfolio showcasing visually appealing, brand-centric emails that demonstrate systems thinking, effective typography/layout, and original asset creation.

β€’ Proficiency in Figma, including components, variables/tokens, Auto Layout, and libraries.

β€’ Experience in extending an established modular email system and documenting design patterns.

β€’ Capability to design chaptered journeys that enhance repeat engagement.

β€’ Expertise in email design, encompassing mobile-first principles, accessibility/alt text, dark mode, and image optimization.

β€’ Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email is advantageous.

β€’ Proficient in using design-focused AI tools to brainstorm and create on-brand assets.

β€’ Experience in maintaining prompt/style libraries and QA standards.

β€’ Strong ability to clearly communicate design rationale, document templates/guidelines, and assist others in self-service.

β€’ Professional-level proficiency in English is required.

β€’ Resumes and application responses must be submitted in English.

β€’ Bonus: experience in civic tech/nonprofit sectors, growth/lifecycle design, and strong email copywriting skills.
