Lead, Payroll

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.

• Oversee the complete payroll processing cycle.

• Collaborate with external payroll vendors and integrate payroll policies into the payroll systems.

• Manage the implementation and upgrades of third-party payroll systems.

• Interpret and enforce policies related to vacation, leaves of absence, disability, workers’ compensation, and union agreements.

• Implement government regulations and manage withholding exemptions.

• Monitor compliance with federal and state payroll regulations to ensure legal adherence.

• Assist with employee offboarding, coordinating with former employees, labor unions, and internal teams.

• Work collaboratively with global colleagues on Kyndryl projects.

• Familiarity with payroll and accounting procedures.

• Proficiency in payroll software and the MS Office Suite.

• High level of professionalism.

• Capability to communicate effectively with various management levels.

• Solid understanding of employment law and regulatory compliance specific to different countries.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Attention to detail and sensitivity to data.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

• At least 2–3 years of prior experience in a similar role.

• Basic knowledge of other HR functions such as Compensation, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition.
