This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee a portfolio of clients' monthly payroll processes from initiation to completion.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment to all employees within designated deadlines.
• Update the payroll system with the latest pay scales, pension contributions, National Insurance rates, and tax thresholds.
• Calculate payroll adjustments, including holiday pay for departing employees and statutory payments (maternity, paternity, etc.).
• Guarantee precise payments and reporting to external entities, including HMRC.
• Adhere strictly to GDPR and ISO27001 data protection regulations.
• Possess a degree and/or a relevant payroll certification.
• Demonstrated experience in payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of HMRC regulations, encompassing Tax, National Insurance, and statutory deductions.
• Familiarity with Auto Enrolment pension schemes.
• Proficient in Google Suite applications.
• Capability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
• Initiative in leveraging AI to improve job performance.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
• Knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) or Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) is advantageous.
• Experience in the education sector is a plus.
