International Payroll Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and expand international payroll operations throughout LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.

• Oversee, review, and implement payroll delivery across more than 15 international countries.

• Manage payroll inputs, validation, approvals, funding coordination, reconciliations, statutory filings, and post-payroll activities.

• Direct payroll calendars and operational rhythms across various countries, handling dependencies, cutoffs, exceptions, and risks.

• Collaborate with local payroll service providers in each country.

• Supervise the processing of international equity compensation payroll for RSUs and Stock Options.

• Ensure adherence to compliance across different international tax jurisdictions, localized statutory benefits, and reporting obligations.

• Serve as the functional lead for payroll technology initiatives utilizing Workday.

• Streamline workflows, enhance system configurations, create custom reports, and assist in global payroll solution implementations.

• Partner with Benefits, People Operations, Legal, and Finance teams.

• Manage relationships with external vendors and third-party tax fulfillment partners.

• Develop, document, and enforce global payroll policies, SOX controls, and standard operating procedures.

• Assist in audit preparedness, including 401k, Workers’ Comp, and financial audits.

• Support M&A integrations, new country market entries, and crucial cross-functional business launches.

• Report directly to the Sr. Global Payroll Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in payroll operations within a high-growth, publicly traded technology company with a global presence.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in payroll, accounting, finance, human resources, or a related discipline.

• Expertise in Workday Payroll, including reporting, configuration, and integrations.

• Proficient with global payroll software platforms.

• Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets, including vlookups, index/match, and pivot tables.

• Comprehensive understanding of global equity taxation, statutory compliance, international labor laws, and multi-currency payroll distribution.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• High level of discretion when handling confidential information.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Bonus: experience in responding to internal, external, statutory, and financial audit requests.

• Bonus: experience in utilizing automation or AI tools for payroll operations, analytics, controls, case management, or knowledge documentation.

• Bonus: experience in delivering customer service across various regions, cultures, and time zones.
