This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create reusable architectural patterns for networks and environments tailored for Zero Trust applications.
• Evaluate requirements for segmentation, microsegmentation, routing, secure access, policy enforcement, and telemetry in system implementations.
• Identify dependencies within the network and interoperability needs across identity, device, application, data, and analytics capabilities.
• Assist in engineering plans, pilot designs, test case development, implementation validation, and rollback strategies.
• Analyze network security technologies in a vendor-neutral context to determine architectural suitability and operational efficiency.
• Record deviations, document lessons learned during implementation, and provide recommendations for the ongoing enhancement of network Zero Trust frameworks.
• Aid in the deployment of security capabilities, assess technical solutions, manage cybersecurity tools, and assist operational teams in translating security architecture into standardized practices.
• Collaborate closely with vulnerability management, incident response, RMF, and ISSO teams to promote operational risk mitigation and ongoing improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a similar field.
• A minimum of five years of experience in enterprise network engineering or network security.
• In-depth knowledge of segmentation, firewalls, routing, secure access, cloud networking, and network telemetry.
• Practical understanding of Zero Trust principles and policy enforcement methodologies.
• Proven experience in designing and resolving issues within complex hybrid enterprise networks.
• Preferred: Familiarity with software-defined networking, microsegmentation, SASE, ZTNA, or cloud-native networking.
• Preferred: Experience working in Federal or large regulated environments.
• Preferred: Skill in creating architecture diagrams and implementation testing plans.
• Preferred certifications: CCNP Security, CCNP Enterprise, CISSP, or Security+.
