This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take charge of and manage the entire accounting cycle across Group companies.
• Direct and synchronize the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes for all Group entities.
• Ensure precise accounting treatment and reporting for both crypto and fiat transactions.
• Supervise the accounting and reconciliations related to digital assets, crypto wallets, exchanges, payment providers, banks, and other financial counterparties.
• Guarantee the completeness and accuracy of transaction data flowing from operational/payment systems into accounting records.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations among Group entities.
• Investigate discrepancies between accounting records, operational systems, wallet/exchange balances, and various data sources.
• Lead and coordinate a team of 4–5 accountants, including workload distribution, prioritization, quality assurance, and deadline management.
• Ensure that accounting activities adhere to applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and established procedures.
• Identify discrepancies and process inefficiencies and ensure their prompt resolution.
• Promote standardization, optimization, and automation of accounting processes across the Group.
• Assume responsibility for the overall quality and timely delivery of the accounting function.
• Extensive hands-on accounting experience at the Senior Accountant, Lead Accountant, Accounting Manager, Chief Accountant level, or equivalent.
• Strong practical experience with 1C, including accounting entries, reconciliations, month-end/year-end closing, and financial reporting.
• Comprehensive understanding of the full accounting cycle, encompassing GL, AP/AR, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.
• Proven track record of managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities, preferably across various jurisdictions.
• Strong grasp of IFRS and/or other relevant accounting standards.
• Excellent reconciliation skills and experience dealing with large and complex transactional datasets.
• Experience in managing or coordinating an accounting team.
• Familiarity with supporting external/statutory audits.
• Ability to comprehend complex transaction flows and translate them into suitable accounting treatment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate discrepancies across multiple systems and data sources.
• Capacity to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment where products, transaction flows, and processes are continually changing.
• Strong ownership mentality and readiness to take accountability for the overall accounting and reporting outcomes of the Group.
• Professional proficiency in English and Russian.
