This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Contribute to the validation testing solutions for server hardware manufacturing facilities.
• Assist in the end-to-end architecture, definition, development, and deployment of software applications and infrastructure across various customers and manufacturing regions.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, manufacturing, quality teams, and end customers.
• Design and create hardware validation testing systems for high-volume manufacturing settings, including server-level (L10) and rack-level (L11/L12) systems.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for motherboard, memory, CPU, storage, and PCIe devices.
• Generate, validate, release, and maintain test software and scripts to automate testing processes.
• Create software for managing test equipment, gathering, analyzing data, and producing test reports.
• Provide support and maintenance for manufacturing server and rack-level test software and infrastructure in production facilities.
• Implement minor system configuration modifications for new product variants or revisions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test procedures, specifications, and infrastructure.
• Work alongside hardware engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance personnel to ensure alignment of testing requirements and quality standards.
• A BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience will also be taken into account.
• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing test development or sustaining role involving enterprise server, storage, or networking products is required.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and BASH; experience with C and C++ is advantageous.
• Expertise in Linux development with a robust understanding of its fundamentals.
• Familiarity with CentOS and Ubuntu.
• Experience with hardware and API solutions for managing and stressing L10 devices.
• Proficient with tools such as IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, memtester, and iperf.
• Experience in creating and configuring Virtual Machines using VMWare, including DHCP, PXE boot, and nginx.
• Knowledge of server hardware interaction, validation, and configuration.
• Hands-on experience with hardware-based validation and manufacturing test systems.
• Direct interaction with server hardware and manufacturing environments; experience solely in software QA, web/application testing, or test automation frameworks will not be considered.
• Understanding of enterprise Ethernet datacenter switching/routing L1, L2, and L3, including BGP, DHCP Relay, and ECMP.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools; Git is preferred.
• Strong understanding of professional software engineering practices throughout the entire software development life cycle.
• Experience working in multi-site and multi-cultural settings.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
• A Master’s Degree in EE/CE or Computer Science is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Experience with test architecture design and methodology is preferred.
• Background with hyperscale customers and environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with at least 5 of the core skills listed above is preferred.
