Lead Field Services Engineer – Electrical Excitation, LCI Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee onsite electrical operations, managing the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of both legacy and contemporary excitation and LCI systems.

• Identify and resolve intricate technical challenges, implement software changes, and modify control constants to enhance the performance of gas and steam turbines.

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for plant owners and utility operators.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, oversee resource allocation, and ensure that projects adhere to deadlines and quality benchmarks.

• Offer expert advisory services regarding packaged products.

• Assist in business development efforts.

• Guide and mentor team members to strengthen collective field expertise.

• Ensure that site operations align with environmental, health, and safety regulations and protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in power plant maintenance or turbine generator commissioning.

• Solid understanding of industrial control systems and power electronics.

• Practical knowledge of electrical control systems.

• Familiarity with GE Excitation and starter systems, such as EX2100e or LS2100e, is highly desirable.

• Capability to read and interpret complex control documentation, P&IDs, and PLC logic.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting critical system problems.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

• Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 70%, including to international or offshore locations.

• Proficient in English.

• Proficiency in Italian, Spanish, or French is highly valued.
