This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.
• Support the planning and design of electrical systems for federal facilities and infrastructure projects.
• Assist in the design of power distribution, lighting, grounding, communications, and life safety systems.
• Execute engineering calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
• Implement electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and various electrical modeling and analysis tools.
• Aid in project schedules, design coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Research federal design criteria and propose solutions to technical challenges.
• Create and maintain project information within project management systems.
• Travel to project sites and federal installations for design development, construction, and project coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a concentration in Power.
• At least one year of engineering experience, internship experience, or equivalent academic project experience is preferred.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles related to building and facility systems.
• Working knowledge of, or the ability to become proficient in, Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, AGi32, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical building systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively contribute within a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to travel and engage in occasional fieldwork as necessary.
