Lead Field Services Engineer – Electrical Excitation, LCI Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee onsite electrical tasks, managing the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of both legacy and modern excitation and LCI systems.

• Identify and troubleshoot intricate technical challenges, implement software modifications, and fine-tune control parameters to enhance the performance of gas and steam turbines.

• Serve as the main technical liaison for plant owners and utility operators.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams, allocate resources effectively, and ensure that projects are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.

• Offer expert advisory services regarding packaged products.

• Assist in business development efforts.

• Mentor team members to enhance collective field expertise.

• Ensure that site operations comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in power plant maintenance or turbine generator commissioning.

• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems and power electronics.

• Familiarity with electrical control systems.

• Knowledge of GE excitation and starter systems like EX2100e or LS2100e is highly regarded.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex control documentation, P&IDs, and PLC logic.

• Capable of troubleshooting critical system problems.

• Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.

• Willingness to travel frequently, approximately 70%, including international or offshore settings.

• Proficient in English.

• Proficiency in Italian, Spanish, or French is highly valued.
