This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Oversee software product management for CVS Health’s Security Automation portfolio within the Enterprise Information Security division.
• Collaborate with the Lead Director of Security Automation to manage an engineering and product portfolio.
• Implement commercial-grade product management practices for internally developed security products.
• Engage in continuous discovery with security operations analysts, GRC and audit teams, identity and infrastructure engineers, application teams, and enterprise colleagues.
• Convert workflow challenges into prioritized roadmaps and articulate product outcomes.
• Manage internal go-to-market strategies, enablement, documentation, onboarding, adoption metrics, feedback channels, and product lifecycle decisions.
• Lead, mentor, recruit, and develop a team of product managers.
• Establish standards for discovery, problem framing, requirement quality, and outcome measurement.
• Oversee portfolio strategy, vision, multi-year roadmap, product discovery, adoption, requirements, and collaboration with engineering delivery.
• Define and implement metrics for adoption, usage, effort reduction, cycle-time reduction, support deflection, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate on build-versus-buy decisions and commercial evaluations, including market analysis, vendor assessment, licensing, and total-cost-of-ownership evaluations.
• Communicate roadmaps, trade-offs, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, senior leadership, and executive sponsors.
• Manage business cases, benefit quantification, ROI, payback analysis, and financial frameworks for investments.
• Develop and enhance product management practices, prioritization methods, discovery standards, roadmap communication, documentation protocols, and supporting tools.
• A minimum of 12 years in technology roles, including at least 8 years in software product management.
• At least 4 years of experience leading product managers, encompassing hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Strongly preferred: experience in commercial software or SaaS product management; equivalent rigor from internal platforms or enterprise IT backgrounds is acceptable.
• Proven experience in owning product strategy and multi-year software product or portfolio roadmaps.
• Strong product discovery methodologies, including user research, workflow analysis, opportunity sizing, assumption testing, and evidence-based decision-making.
• Capability to define, measure, and report on outcome metrics such as adoption, active usage, effort and cycle-time reduction, support deflection, and retention.
• Demonstrated success in driving software product adoption, including quantifiable examples and strategies for addressing stalled adoption.
• Sound prioritization judgment under constraints, including managing stakeholder expectations when declining requests.
• Experience in defining requirements and collaborating with engineering for delivery.
• Technical fluency in APIs, data models, software delivery practices, architecture, integration, and feasibility discussions; coding skills are not required.
• Familiarity with build-versus-buy assessments, vendor and market evaluations, and total-cost-of-ownership considerations.
• Ability to influence peers, senior stakeholders, and executives without direct authority.
• Financial literacy, including expertise in business cases, benefit quantification, ROI, payback analysis, budgeting, and license cost management.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to both engineering and executive audiences.
• Experience with agile delivery models and modern product and delivery tools such as Jira, product analytics, roadmapping, and discovery tools.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: experience in developer-facing, platform, or internal-facing software products.
• Preferred: experience in security, risk, compliance, or IT operations product domains.
• Preferred: background in workflow automation, integration, or data platform products.
• Preferred: experience in AI-enabled or agentic product management.
• Preferred: familiarity with product-led adoption strategies.
• Preferred: experience in formal dual-leadership partnerships with an engineering leader.
• Preferred: portfolio management experience across custom-built, commercial, and platform-based products.
• Preferred: experience in product sunsetting or consolidation.
• Preferred: experience in highly regulated industries, ideally in healthcare.
• Preferred: experience in establishing or maturing product management practices.
• Preferred: advanced degree or MBA along with recognized product management or agile certifications.
