This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct the design, governance, and advancement of enterprise cloud architecture within a federal setting.
• Establish Azure cloud architecture standards, reference architectures, frameworks, and best practices.
• Supervise highly available, secure, and scalable Azure architectures involving compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
• Provide guidance on Azure identity, governance, policy enforcement, monitoring, and observability.
• Assess cloud-native Azure services and strategies for modernization.
• Define standards for Infrastructure as Code architecture using Terraform.
• Assist DevOps teams in the implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, and Artifactory.
• Offer architectural oversight for container-based deployment models, including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Lead architecture planning for the migration of on-premises workloads to Azure.
• Develop hybrid connectivity and networking architectures.
• Ensure that architecture complies with federal security and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the technical authority for Azure architecture throughout the program.
• Provide direction to DevOps engineers, cloud engineers, and development teams.
• Transform mission requirements into technical architecture strategies and roadmaps.
• Convey architectural approaches and trade-offs to government stakeholders, ACIOs, and program leadership.
• Facilitate technical discussions and design reviews.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• Must currently possess or have previously held a Public Trust designation.
• At least 6 years of experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud architectures.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform and ARM templates.
• At least 6 years of DevOps experience focused on Azure technologies, encompassing cloud deployment automation and pipeline development.
• Proven experience in architecting CI/CD strategies using GitLab, GitHub, and Artifactory.
• Strong comprehension of Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience in devising cloud migration strategies and converting on-premises workloads into cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Autopilot / Intune, Microsoft 365 / Office 365, SharePoint, Exchange, and OneDrive.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Preferred: experience in supporting U.S. federal cloud environments and compliance frameworks.
• Preferred: experience in leading cloud transformation initiatives within complex enterprise environments.
