Lead Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of design outputs across the client portfolio, overseeing the process from initial concept to final delivery.

• Quickly transform broad direction into several unique creative pathways, enabling clients to respond, blend, and choose their preferred ideas.

• Create brand-level creative work for national accounts, achieving a visual standard that rivals that of a large agency.

• Maintain quality assurance for all design outputs originating from the agency, including reviewing and enhancing work produced by fellow team members.

• Ensure consistency and precision in copy, specifications, calls to action, and adherence to brand guidelines.

• Collaborate closely with the technical lead on projects transitioning from design to development or production.


⛳️ Requirements

• A compelling portfolio showcasing conceptual diversity, polished finished work, and experience with projects that involve significant brand stakes.

• Senior-level conceptual skills, demonstrating the confidence to start from scratch and generate numerous creative alternatives from a single idea or broad visual direction.

• Ability to work efficiently and consistently, producing solid first drafts that require refinement rather than complete overhauls.

• Proficient use of AI creative tools, along with a clear process for leveraging them to generate concepts, assess outputs, and develop final creative pieces.

• Strong client-facing skills, capable of presenting, defending, and adapting creative work while engaging with senior marketing stakeholders.

• Availability to work during US Central Time business hours.

Tools:

• - Required: Adobe Creative Suite, with significant expertise in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

• - Required: Proficient use of current AI creative tools and a clear process for their application.

• - Strongly preferred: Figma, for UI and UX work, as well as collaboration with development teams.

• - A plus: Skills in motion graphics, animation, or video production, along with comfort in email design and development.
