Lead Civil Site Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the construction, installation, inspection, and testing of Site Civil works for project buildings, equipment foundations, utilities, permits, security requirements, and other civil tasks during the OTR phase, while also participating in the ITO phase as required.

• Monitor subcontractor progress and manage or plan site resources effectively.

• Collaborate with clients, site consultants, project management, MEP works, engineering, EHS, quality, and security stakeholders.

• Cultivate and implement a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of civil works and execute the construction strategy accordingly.

• Assist in estimation and the execution of work.

• Supervise and assess the execution of civil works, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and EHS requirements.

• Conduct civil works quantity surveying/take-offs and verify invoices.

• Prepare timely site documentation, including daily, biweekly, monthly, three-week-lookahead, incident, PTW, and QA/QC reports.

• Grasp contractual terms and conditions to ensure all obligations are fulfilled.

• Participate in internal and customer technical and progress meetings.

• Ensure compliance of site activities with environmental, health, and safety guidelines and procedures.

• Provide expert consultation on intricate projects.

• Plan and potentially recommend and enforce policies and procedures.

• Identify project scope, interpret SE specifications and standards, and evaluate claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

• At least 8 years of experience managing site civil works at 380kV substations and other power projects.

• Comprehensive knowledge of civil works construction, installation, and quality processes, including coordination with MEP and electrical equipment installation activities.

• Strong understanding of civil works codes, standards, quality processes, quantity surveying/take-offs, and resource planning/estimating.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and passport.

• Proficient in English.

• Legal authorization to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time limitations.

• Capability to support site visits, missions, and presentations.

• Ability to comprehend and implement architectural and structural technical drawings and general arrangements.

• Strong computer proficiency using AutoCAD and MS Office Software Suite.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for conveying technical concepts.

• Fluency in Arabic is advantageous.

• Capacity to work under pressure and take responsibility for onsite activities.

• Willingness to travel, relocate within the country and internationally, and work overtime as necessary.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to work on holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by site assignments.
