Lead Business Systems Analyst, SAP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Act as a recognized authority in Finance SAP modules and associated business processes.

• Foster and maintain relationships with business partners, clients, IS colleagues, and senior leadership.

• Support the manager in formulating Finance strategies and roadmaps.

• Implement and optimize SAP functionalities using standard configurations and existing code.

• Exhibit leadership in system development methodologies, policies, principles, and standards.

• Research, suggest, and apply SAP best practices.

• Develop and organize documentation that encapsulates best practices, business procedures, reporting, SAP configurations, and master data maintenance.

• Lead the process of defining requirements, testing, training, implementation, and support.

• Identify and analyze issues, ascertain causes, evaluate solutions, and propose actions.

• Gather client requirements, establish testing schedules, design and assess testing plans, and monitor development outcomes.

• Convert business needs into detailed specifications for technical designs and programming tasks.

• Gather client requirements through interviews, workshops, system documentation, and procedures.

• Encourage knowledge transfer regarding SAP usage and configuration methods.

• Utilize data-flow modeling, use-case analysis, workflow analysis, functional decomposition, and business-process mapping.

• Develop and propose SAP solutions that align with business objectives.

• Lead or participate in project planning and associated documentation.

• Identify and communicate business or project risks to the Project Manager or team lead.

• Train end users on SAP modules while providing technical guidance and peer cross-training.

• Keep abreast of SAP functional knowledge and wider developments in Information Technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field, with 8+ years of proven experience in configuring Finance SAP functional modules and related business processes, or equivalent experience.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Proficient with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 or higher.

• Extensive configuration experience in FICO submodules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Special Purpose Ledger, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, FSCM, Credit and Revenue Recognition, and Vendor Invoice Management.

• Experience in implementing SAP within global, multi-site organizations.

• In-depth experience in SAP module configuration and business process re-engineering.

• Previous experience with SAP Central Finance implementation is preferred.

• Familiarity with ABAP development processes and functional specifications.

• Knowledge of FICO integration with SD, MM, and PP.

• Comprehensive understanding of SAP FICO functionalities, including General Ledger, New GL, foreign currency, intercompany transactions, VAT, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, bank integration, payment methods, electronic bank statements, and asset accounting.

• Strong analytical abilities and expertise in business functions.

• Knowledge of modeling techniques, SAP blueprinting, and SAP ASAP methodology.

• Experience in crafting business cases with cost and effort estimations.

• Capability to resolve complex issues and navigate ambiguity and changing environments.

• Excellent oral, written, presentation, interpersonal, and influence-management skills.

• Experience in project leadership/management, including leading project teams and coordinating activities.
