Lead Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead ongoing initiatives for enhancing processes within the client's procurement department.

• Collect, analyze, and establish business processes and requirements in collaboration with procurement, finance, IT, and data stakeholders.

• Convert requirements into comprehensive functional specifications for Power BI dashboards, encompassing data models, calculation logic, visualizations, and user interactions.

• Assist the Project Manager with project planning, scope management, effort estimation, and tracking milestones.

• Monitor, report, and address requirements-related issues using RAID and Decision Logs.

• Communicate plans, status updates, risks, and issues across governance forums.

• Aid in deployment and implementation activities, which include coordinating UAT, preparing training materials, and providing hypercare support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; qualifications in Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or Finance will also be considered.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.

• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role.

• Demonstrated success in requirements elicitation and producing BRDs, functional specifications, and data mapping documents for BI dashboard projects.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders across cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Japanese.

• Direct experience in Power BI projects, involving requirements definition, dashboard design, data model assessment, and UAT facilitation.

• Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational capabilities.

• Solid understanding of Power BI data modeling, star schema, DAX measures, RLS, incremental refresh, and best practices in report design.

• Familiarity with Azure cloud data platforms and the data flow process from source systems to BI layers.

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and concepts related to data warehousing.
