This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Manage Snowflake roles, grants, and objects that support the AI platform.
• Effectively navigate the data warehouse across various platform tasks.
• Take ownership of semantic views that encode business definitions and metric granularity.
• Conduct audits, refactor, and rebuild existing data models within the first 60–90 days.
• Enhance retrieval accuracy through adjustments in chunk size, document parsing, metadata design, and embedding configuration.
• Evaluate chunking methods against dealer paperwork.
• Oversee ingestion pipelines for inventory, dealer and OEM feeds, CRM and DMS data, as well as marketing performance.
• Monitor data freshness and identify pipeline failures proactively to prevent client impact.
• Reconcile AI outputs with core reporting models.
• Audit vehicle offers, payment calculations, and incentives to reduce advertising compliance risks.
• Expand evaluation test sets and transform output failures into data corrections.
• Track inference and warehouse costs per dealer.
• Collaborate with platform, backend, front-end, and central data teams on querying, caching, APIs, schemas, interface rendering, and addressing stale or null values.
• Act as the liaison between product engineering and the data team.
• Direct actionable data defects to the data team.
• Define acceptance criteria for partner-built work, review deliverables, and manage systems prior to engagement closure.
• Transform business inquiries into data structures within OrangeOS.
• Direct experience in managing Snowflake RBAC, roles, and grants (not just query-only access).
• Over 3 years of experience building metric layers on cloud data warehouses, including Snowflake semantic views, dbt metrics, LookML, Cube, or similar frameworks.
• Extensive SQL expertise.
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining production pipelines, monitoring failures, and managing legacy models.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, API integrations, and automation tasks.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, tool call integration, and basic retrieval pipelines; independent projects are considered.
• Ability to articulate AI data behavior to non-technical executives clearly.
• Preferred: Experience with Snowflake Cortex, specifically in Analyst, Search, or Agents roles.
• Preferred: Applied RAG experience, including chunking strategies, embedding selection, and retrieval evaluation.
• Preferred: SnowPro certification.
• Preferred: Experience in output quality measurement using golden sets or human review.
• Preferred: Background in retail automotive or martech, particularly with dealership data exposure.
