Analytics Engineer, Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance analytical and dimensional data models utilizing dbt/SQL while adhering to best development practices and governance standards.

• Ensure the integrity of data governance, quality, documentation, automated testing, scalability, and business impact.

• Engage in discussions with business teams to comprehend their requirements and business rules.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers to grasp the structure, refresh frequency, limitations, business context, and technical attributes of data sources.

• Implement data quality tests and oversee pipelines to guarantee data availability, performance, and integrity across the domain.

• Actively take part in code reviews and promote engineering best practices within the data team.

• Assist the data team in comprehending the data platform and applying best practices effectively.

• Contribute to the advancement of Asaas's data platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL with a focus on data transformation and modeling.

• Professional experience with dbt or comparable transformation tools, emphasizing modularity, automated testing, and documentation.

• Skilled in analytical and dimensional data modeling, including star schemas, fact tables, dimensions, and OBTs.

• Experience in developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes and analytical pipelines.

• Familiarity with code version control systems, specifically Git/GitHub.

• Proven experience in data transformation, standardization, and documentation projects.

• Ability to address technical and business challenges from a systemic perspective, converting business rules into dependable data models.

• Knowledge of agile methodologies.

• Basic understanding of Python.

• Completed or pursuing a degree in Data Analytics/Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Preferred: Experience with Generative AI tools.

• Preferred: Familiarity with the modern Analytics ecosystem, Databricks, or cloud data platforms, along with knowledge of Airflow.

• Preferred: Background in financial institutions, ERP systems, or SaaS.

• Preferred: Experience in modeling financial metrics or digital product journeys.
