LATAM Business Development Manager – Autonomous Operations for Mining

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary liaison with mining clients throughout Latin America.

• Comprehend customer operational difficulties and convert them into solutions for Autonomous Operations.

• Lead consultative interactions with key accounts, crafting customized automation, digital, and AI solutions.

• Create and communicate the solution architecture for Autonomous Operations.

• Work in partnership with R&D and internal teams to propel solution development and align market needs with the product roadmap.

• Identify customer pain points and construct value propositions from initial concept to final solution design.

• Engage in C-level discussions and position ABB as a strategic ally for autonomous mining operations.

• Assist in the go-to-market strategy for Autonomous Operations within the mining sector, concentrating on concentrator plants.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of the mining sector, with a solid understanding of mineral processing operations, particularly concentrator plants.

• Demonstrated experience in automation and/or digital solutions implemented in industrial settings.

• Excellent executive-level communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build trust with C-level stakeholders.

• Analytical and consultative approach; capable of listening, synthesizing complex information, and converting it into structured solution designs.

• Fluent/Advanced proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.

• Willingness to travel frequently, at least 50% of the time, across Brazil, Peru, Chile, and the wider LATAM region.

• Experience with AI/ML-based solutions or predictive analytics in industrial operations is an advantage.

• Familiarity with ABB's automation offerings, including ABB Ability™ System 800xA and MineOptimize, is a plus.

• Prior experience in business development, pre-sales, or solution consulting within the mining or heavy industry is advantageous.

• Background in remote operations centers or integrated operations environments is a valuable asset.
