Laser Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Travel to client locations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate technical problems with Mitsubishi laser machinery.

• Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections, which may involve disassembly, reassembly, and system adjustments.

• Offer remote troubleshooting assistance via phone when suitable.

• Professionally communicate issues, timelines, and repair results to customers.

• Analyze and repair by interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and block diagrams.

• Record service activities, findings, and resolutions comprehensively.

• Accurately complete and submit expense reports in a timely manner.

• Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good condition.

• Undertake additional tasks that contribute to customer satisfaction and the efficiency of department operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical knowledge of machining, manufacturing processes, or industrial machinery.

• Skilled in using voltmeters, multimeters, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.

• Capable of using Windows-based computers and service software effectively.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Comfortable working at heights as necessary.

• Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.

• Willingness to travel extensively from Monday to Friday.

• Proficient in diagnosing and resolving both electrical and mechanical issues.

• Ability to read and understand machine manuals, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Experience with electrical measurement tools, such as voltmeters and oscilloscopes.

• Familiarity with precision measurement instruments, such as indicators, micrometers, and feeler gauges.

• Capable of safely operating a motor vehicle.

• Frequent engagement in bending, twisting, kneeling, standing, and hand-intensive tasks.

• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

• Capability to push or pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Good visual acuity, including color recognition skills.
