Experienced Mechanical Field Engineer – Gas and Steam Turbine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, execute, and coordinate activities at site locations.

• Carry out the installation of systems and equipment on-site.

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations post-installation.

• Attend to emergency repair requests and service needs.

• Offer technical guidance and support to customer representatives.

• Prepare technical documentation and reports for customers.

• Procure materials and obtain quotes as necessary.

• Generate job status updates, timesheets, and expense reports.

• Approve and sign off on executed changes.

• Enhance customer satisfaction through a commitment to quality.

• Uphold safety standards in accordance with GE requirements.

• Diagnose issues and conduct routine maintenance checks on diverse equipment.

• Mentor, coach, and train team members effectively.

• Ensure necessary parts are dispatched to the site as needed.

• Conduct installation walk-downs to oversee customer contractors.

• Implement aftermarket upgrades at the site level.

• Travel frequently for projects and field assignments.

• Undertake additional responsibilities that align with FieldCore’s vision and core values.


⛳️ Requirements

• Technical/University degree or relevant experience, OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years in a Field Services role.

• Over 7 years of experience in field services or maintenance of power generation equipment.

• Successful completion of required level III training programs.

• Strong technical skills in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical flow and instrument diagrams.

• Knowledge of dial and laser alignment as well as thermal growth equipment.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory.

• Experience and training with Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipment.

• Extensive experience in Field Engineering Services.

• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Solid business acumen with the ability to promote GE products to customers.

• Flexibility and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.

• Significant travel to and from various projects and field assignments is required.
