This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Perform daily servicing and maintenance tasks for customer EV charging stations.
• Identify and rectify electrical, hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Execute repairs, which include replacing defective parts and components.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, upgrades, and warranty services.
• Offer remote technical support to customers and field personnel.
• Keep precise service records, daily work logs, and track company vehicle mileage.
• Oversee and replenish the inventory of spare parts.
• Collaborate with technical, engineering, and customer service teams.
• Support service and maintenance agreements while adhering to established response times and service standards.
• Ensure that all work is performed safely and complies with company policies and relevant electrical and EV charging regulations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately one week every five weeks, from Monday to Monday.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a technical support or field service engineering position.
• Demonstrated success in servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
• Proficient in using a multimeter and conducting continuity testing.
• Hands-on approach and confidence in using tools effectively.
• Strong skills in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication skills with a knack for explaining technical issues clearly.
• Valid full manual UK driving licence.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
• No more than 3 penalty points on driving licence.
• Experience in EV charging, automotive, clean energy, or electrical engineering sectors is preferred.
• Familiarity with charging infrastructure or similar electrical equipment is advantageous.
• Previous experience in remote technical support is a plus.
• Experience with on-call or out-of-hours support rotation is beneficial.
• Relevant engineering qualifications or technical training are desirable.
