Labor Market Information, Skills-Gap Study Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop scopes for LMI / skills-gap studies, including data plans and analytical frameworks.

• Evaluate occupational demand, supply, wages, credentials, and regional workforce risks utilizing public and administrative datasets.

• Convert findings into actionable recommendations relevant to employers and policymakers.

• Create concise written reports, briefings, and optional presentations for boards or Workforce Development Boards (WDBs).

• Collaborate with AlphaGov evaluation subject matter experts when program-impact inquiries intersect.

• Contribute to methods appendices and technical narratives for AlphaGov proposals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in labor-market analysis, workforce research, regional economics, or similar public-sector analytical roles.

• Proven track record in delivering skills-gap, occupational, or LMI studies for a Workforce Development Board, state agency, regional council, or similar public client.

• Strong proficiency in quantitative methods and the ability to write clearly in plain language.

• Capability to reference specific previous public projects (including agency, role, and year).

• Familiarity with WIOA/WDB regulations.

• Proficiency in Python, R, Stata, or advanced Excel.

• Previous experience in consulting or subconsulting roles.

• Experience collaborating with program evaluators.
