Lab Automation Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Design and validate applications for scientific and analytical instruments.

• Produce technical documentation, including application notes, presentations, and training resources.

• Act as a subject matter expert to enhance customers' research and analytical abilities.

• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and commercial teams.

• Transform customer requirements into streamlined workflows and solutions.

• Work in partnership with scientists.

• Deliver presentations at conferences.

• Contribute to the progression of scientific discovery in pharmaceuticals, materials science, food safety, and environmental protection.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in relevant analytical instrumentation and application development.

• Preferred academic backgrounds include Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related scientific field.

• Strong understanding of chromatography, mass spectrometry, microscopy, or other relevant analytical techniques based on the position's focus.

• Capability to design, execute, and document scientific experiments and workflows.

• Experience in creating technical documentation, such as application notes, presentations, and training materials.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to varied audiences.

• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Advanced problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

• Proficiency in relevant software and data analysis tools.

• Customer-oriented mindset with outstanding interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to travel 25-40% for customer support, training, and conferences.

• Experience with quality systems and regulated environments is preferred.

• Programming or scripting experience is advantageous for specific roles (e.g., Python, MATLAB, etc.).

• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
