Senior Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical liaison with new nuclear power plant clients in Poland and other European nations prior to site-specific design contracts.

• Identify the most suitable sites for hosting BWRX-300 reactors.

• Assess the necessary modifications to adapt the standard BWRX-300 design for particular projects.

• Collaborate across various organizational levels to ensure the GEH BWRX-300 product offerings meet customer expectations.

• Report directly to the Technical Sales Director.

• Lead the assessment of customer, country, and site-specific requirements.

• Manage site layouts, conduct external hazard screenings, and perform preliminary heat balances.

• Connect GE Vernova engineering teams with external partners and customers.

• Create delivery schedules, cost estimates, and project responsibility frameworks.

• Represent engineering, fuel, and services expertise during high-level customer meetings.

• Convert complex technical requirements into compelling value propositions.

• Analyze customer development strategies and competitive data to enhance product offerings.

• Work collaboratively with Sales and Product Line Management.

• Present technologies and solutions to customers as a subject matter expert.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) field.

• Extensive experience in Application or Sales Engineering, Construction Project Management, or similar large-scale project management with a solid customer-facing emphasis.

• Exceptional proficiency in both English and Polish, including technical vocabulary, in written and spoken forms.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily within Poland.

• Field experience in new nuclear power plant projects is preferred.

• Familiarity with nuclear power systems, controls, equipment, and international nuclear regulatory frameworks is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build effective networks to enhance project efficiency is preferred.

• Must be a resident of Poland with unrestricted legal authority to work there.

• Citizenship in a country listed on the U.S. Department of Energy’s List of Generally Authorized Countries (10 CFR Part 810 Appendix A) is required, unless specific authorization is obtained.
