Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver extensive sales and technical assistance for both original equipment and aftermarket products.

• Aid domestic, international, and inter-company sales initiatives by assisting customers in utilizing Facet products and services.

• Create and suggest technical equipment solutions that meet client specifications and adhere to international standards.

• Evaluate EPC or refinery specifications to size and design equipment, establish material needs, estimate costs, and produce detailed quotations.

• Understand and implement ASME, ISO, API, SAE, EI, customer specifications, and project needs.

• Generate precise cost estimates and keep quote and project documentation organized.

• Collaborate with manufacturing vendors to discuss cost-related information.

• Utilize and manage Salesforce for quotes, opportunities, and sales records.

• Provide technical expertise to Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, and Customer Service teams.

• Retain product knowledge and adapt existing designs for new applications.

• Identify optimal equipment sizing based on customer needs and specifications.

• Offer technical assistance to distributors, engineering firms, and end-users.

• Work alongside production planning and drafting teams to ensure accurate lead times and project timelines.

• Address inquiries from internal and external stakeholders to enhance capital equipment sales margins.

• Investigate new opportunities and advocate for technical solutions that deliver added value to customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of relevant industry experience.

• Proficient in pressure vessels, piping, and the design/manufacture of pressure equipment.

• Background in the marine and/or power generation sectors.

• Knowledge of filtration and separation processes.

• Competence in 2D and 3D design software.

• Understanding of welding and fabrication methods concerning metals, piping, fittings, and materials.

• Strong project management capabilities with an emphasis on multitasking and prioritization.

• Currently and legally permitted to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

• Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.
