This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee, retain, and expand BESA contractor membership within the designated geographical region.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across member organizations.
• Gain insights into members’ businesses, priorities, challenges, and their utilization of BESA support services.
• Proactively identify retention risks and implement measures prior to membership renewal becoming an issue.
• Ensure members are informed about and can access BESA support, engagement initiatives, certificate programs, and benefits.
• Discover and cultivate new contractor membership prospects.
• Facilitate regional growth via Member Pledge, referrals, supply chain opportunities, former members, event leads, and warm introductions.
• Advance opportunities directly or delegate them to the sales team when suitable.
• Maintain records of opportunities and account details in iMIS.
• Identify appropriate members for the BESA Member Pledge and assist in establishing signed relationships.
• Collaborate with Membership Operations to refine, map, upload, and categorize supply chain lists in iMIS.
• Aid in converting supply chain contractors into full BESA contractor membership.
• Represent BESA throughout Wales and the assigned geographical area.
• Participate in member meetings, events, sector gatherings, and engagement initiatives.
• Advocate for BESA as the primary trade organization for building engineering services contractors.
• Recognize opportunities for member stories, case studies, insights, and demonstrations of member value.
• Relay member challenges, retention risks, market trends, and growth prospects back to the organization.
• Execute account plans, monthly RAG reporting, new membership initiatives, Member Pledge relationships, supply chain expansion, accurate iMIS records, and regular reporting.
• Applicants must be based in Wales and possess a strong connection to the region.
• Experience in account management, key account management, membership engagement, or business development.
• Excellent relationship management capabilities.
• Proficiency in managing a portfolio of accounts.
• Skill in identifying retention risks and growth prospects.
• Strong communication skills and diligent follow-up practices.
• Commercial acumen.
• Familiarity with CRM or membership management systems.
• Ability to work independently across a designated region or account portfolio.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
• Desirable: knowledge of building engineering services, M&E, HVAC, FM, or construction supply chains.
• Desirable: experience within a membership organization, trade association, or compliance-focused environment.
• Desirable: understanding of competence, technical standards, procurement, or contractor assurance.
• Desirable: experience in supporting member retention, account growth, or regional engagement.
• Desirable: experience in supply chain-led growth or referral-based sales.
