
Key Account Manager – National Distributors

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Formulate and implement sales strategies for designated national distributors, converting national initiatives into quantifiable growth across various regions and branches.
• Establish and nurture relationships with corporate, regional, and local distributor management, as well as key decision-makers.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Leaders, Product Line Managers, and CRS Specialists to pinpoint and cultivate sales opportunities throughout the United States.
• Evaluate performance metrics by distributor, region, branch, and product category, and devise action plans to enhance underperforming areas.
• Discover new business prospects involving contractors, projects, and customers within distributor networks.
• Organize sales programs, product launches, promotions, training sessions, demonstrations, and other growth initiatives.
• Assist in product offerings, positioning, and pricing for assigned accounts.
• Conduct business reviews and keep track of competitive activities.
• Represent MAPEI at distributor meetings, sales events, and trade exhibitions.
• Execute tasks according to Business Management System protocols and relevant Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.
• Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least seven years of experience in sales, business development, or key account management within the construction materials or a similar industry.
• Demonstrated sales experience with national construction distributors.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials and national distribution channels.
• Proven capability to formulate sales strategies and expand key accounts.
• Exceptional skills in relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and communication.
• Proficient in using Windows-based PCs, including Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with CRM software and internet navigation.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.
